Travel that funds the wild

Africa's conservancies run on donations and hunting fees. Donations rise and fall with the news cycle, and hunting income is under growing pressure. Neither is a foundation for protecting a landscape for the long term.

Nexcelia turns travel spend into permanent conservation income. Every trip booked on the platform, anywhere in the world, sends a share to the conservancies where the wildlife lives.

Every great safari landscape holds two communities: the people who live around it, and the herds, prides and packs that live within it. Nexcelia is designed so that both are sustained by the same thing.

02 — How It Works

The flywheel

Each part of the platform makes the next one stronger. Films create the desire, everyday bookings build toward the trip, the stay pays rent and a conservation levy, and protected wildlife makes the next film.

03 — The Model

One fund, two exchanges

Nexcelia's property sits in regulated, listed real estate investment trusts. The booking platform that fills the lodges is a separate company.

Development REIT, then Income REIT

A Development REIT builds and repositions assets. Once an asset proves its income, it transfers to an Income REIT. Kenyan REITs are tax-transparent at fund level.

Victoria Falls Stock Exchange · USD

The Namibia × Zimbabwe safari lodges

Holds the Namibia × Zimbabwe safari lodges in US dollars. 100% foreign ownership is permitted, there is no capital gains tax, and withholding tax for non-residents is reduced.

Conservation is the business model

The conservancies are community-owned and community-governed, following Namibia's Community-Based Natural Resource Management (CBNRM) model. Conservation income pays for what keeps a landscape alive: game guards, water points and income for the communities who live there.

Dr Tadiwanashe Muganyi Founding Partner, Nexcelia Solutions B.V.

An economist and investor based in Bulawayo, The Hague and Shanghai. Dr Muganyi holds a PhD in Industrial Economics (Fintech), is the creator of the Global Fintech Development Index and the “Leapfrog Paradox”, and leads the Murarabungu Wildlife Conservation Initiative in Zimbabwe.
